I am a pianist and music educator for children aged 0-6 according to the theories of E. Gordon and I have created a music education format for preschool children recorded as Musica si fa racconto® which includes the screening of large figures taken from children’s albums and listening to live music sung and played on the piano. I collaborate as a pianist and additional vocalist in ensembles that offer family concerts according to Gordon’s theories: these events are based on the involvement of adults and children in singing, body resonance, and listening to quality music.
My job, therefore, has always been to disseminate the benefits of music and its role in family relationships. I’m passionate about training educators and teachers, but also connecting with parents to raise awareness about the importance of music for their children’s psychophysical well-being.
I have been part of the Opera Education team since 2018 and am particularly involved in the Opera Baby and Opera Kids projects, formats for which I oversee musical expression activities aimed at children and the training of teachers, educators, and parents. I also participate in the Opera meno9 project in a meeting for waiting families dedicated to exploring the musical repertoire for early childhood.
Opera Education represents the values I believe in: the consistent quality of musical and theatrical offerings, the intuition of having to intervene in both musical and theatrical dramaturgies to communicate effectively with children, and the important intervention of preparing and training audiences before and after performances.
