Opera kids was established in 2009 to expand the Opera Education platform’s offerings to a very young audience, recognizing how music serves as a language for developing the sensory, perceptual, and intellectual abilities of children. The project aims to introduce, through interactive and engaging performances, the audience aged 3 to 6 years old to the suggestions and emotions provided by opera.

Opera Kids offers performances with one singer and two actors, accompanied by a pianist, lasting 50 minutes. During these performances, the key elements of the plot and recurring arias of a traditional opera are presented, actively engaging the audience through group singing and the use of a stage prop.

Opera Kids caters to both preschools, offering not only the performance but also teacher training and educational workshops in classrooms, as well as to families, providing a Spectator’s Kit and organizing pre-show workshops in various touring cities.
