WHO IS ON STAGE?
Since 2019 for an audience aged 14- 30 years
Opera smart rises from the ashes of Opera it, sharing the main target audience and motivations. Its main goal is always making young boys and girls interested in lyric operas, a genre of live performance considered obsolete by the majority because it is far from modernity and technology. A sort of dead language, insignificant in our complex and technological days. Beyond this common prejudice you will discover instead, how close opera is to youth, yesterday today and always. Lyric theatre is a complex mechanism based on action, singing, narration and evocation of atmosphere, a means of communication that doesn’t fear internet, smartphones and video clips even because somehow it represents their ancestor.
Opera Smart’s objective is to pull down the prejudice against opera and generate interest in a good singing, starting from those constitutive elements that are contact points with contemporaneity. Opera smart wants to guide not only students but also young curious people in a rich, original, ancient and modern world full of instruments and opportunities.
An interactive and stimulating multimedia conference in classroom will show the continuity between theatre and literature, lyric opera and history, music and arts. Our assumption? The lyric represented the online portal of national history. In order to complete the training at school, research materials, multimedia and poetic incentives will be available on the web site, in this way you will let yourself be captured and seduced by the historic and current value of music. The training ends up with an engaging night performance, a container of sounds that involves the different forms of art of an entire century. Discovering past myths and their presence still alive in today’s world.
The performance represents one of the proposals for the night Lyric - Concert music season, it brings the audience inside the scene of a music theatre which is at the same time operatic and futuristic.
