Partners & Sponsors

Beyond the usual precious support of institutions like the Ministero dei Beni Culturali, MIUR, Regione Lombardia and of Fondazione Cariplo, the presence of science and tech-based partners allows us to organize and bring to light the huge amount of work that is done off-stage for each performance. These sponsorships allow us to proudly yell, “Three cheers for opera!

SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Born for the Music is a national program, created in 2006 from a close collaboration between l’Associazione Culturale Pediatri and il Centro per la Salute del Bambino Onlus, that promotes the musical experience among families, emphasizing both the cognitive value, which benefits children in the course of their lives, and its value as a form of communication, which favors and intensifies relationships shared by children with each other and with adults. Born for the Music situates the parents and child, the family, at the center of the activity, favoring the collaboration between services and operators with the goal of creating a multidisciplinary network. It proposes to create and educate professionals that concern themselves with childhood and the family in healthcare, the arts and education on the importance of music as a good practice in the complex development of children, to spread knowledge in the field of neuroscience in regards to the relationship between musical and cognitive development, to attract interest among parents in how to use music in a didactic, intentional way, from the very beginning of a child’s life.

La Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti is one of the historical schools in Milan and among the best known in Italy in the audio-visual sector. It satisfies the demand of a professional and artistic formation of all the principal authorial and technical roles of the audiovisual at a national and international level and, at the same time, brings forward the function for which La Civica Scuola was born, offering courses that serve as the support and permanent foundation as service to the territory and community. Its mission is to support, develop and promote the artistic, creative and entrepreneurial abilities of young students with the goal of contributing to the construction of a generation of authors, film makers, artists and high-quality sound and image technicians, with a solid professional profile. Because of this, united by a common mission, we invited them to collaborate in the production of official videos of our shows, also bringing the opera to screens!

DHL Express Italy provided us with its industrial solutions, inserting itself in our national network to bring didactic materials to the hands of all the children and their teachers in order to prepare themselves for the theatrical adventure!

The collaboration with Bennet was born in 2017, which crossed the School Project to the Elementary and Middle Schools to a degree equally public and private, the opportunity to request scholastic materials of the highest generation, formative routes and educational projects. Bennet gained the deep cultural and formative appreciation of our initiative, stretched to bring children closer to the opera, and decided to concretely sustain it, offering schools the possibility to request free tickets and lesson plans, across the collection of points on the Bennet club card.

PROJECT/TOUR

The setting of the twelfth edition of Opera kids gives us the opportunity to establish a precious collaboration with UNICEF Italy, which with accompany us on a path of reflection on the rights of children together with the iconic Pigotta. In fact, November 20th, 2019, signifies the thirtieth anniversary of the Convenzione sui diritti dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza (Convention on the rights of infancy and adolescence). With the show “Il guardiano e il buffone. Ossia Rigoletto (che ride e piange)” we have the occasion to not only shed light on Article 31 of the Convention that addresses the right to play, but also to rediscover the Pigotta, the celebrated ragdoll with which UNICEF helps children all over the world, which will become the character of Gilda and will mark an important moment of sharing.

The pedagogical work on opera offers the possibility to talk to kids about important themes. The edition of Carmen offered the chance to confront with children and teens the very delicate theme of violence, along with ActionAid Italy, which is concerned with the prevention of domestic violence and the fight against gender stereotypes.
