Opera education in the world
The Magic Flute makes its grand debut in the spring of 2015 in the faraway country of the echoes of The Thousand and One Nights, Oman. For the first time in the history of opera, children of Arabic language and culture, together with European children relocated in the warm Arabian Peninsula, sang the famous arias of the genius of Salzburg at the wonderful Royal Opera House of Muscat. Arabic, English and Italian in one show: an absolute first of extraordinary importance marks the union between distant cultures thanks to a bridge built with music, a powerful vector to overcome diversity. In these years the fruitful collaboration with Muscat has been consolidated bringing our Turandot to the stage of the Royal Opera House in 2016 and will be confirmed in 2020 with The Elixir of Love. A factory of ideas. Thanks to the successful experience in Oman, Austria also opens its doors to Opera Domani with the co-production of Carmen. The star of the Seville Circus with AsLiCo. The arias of the chorus resound in German and French by the children who participate from the audience, coming from Austria and from the neighboring German-speaking Switzerland and Germany.
In fact, the journey of Opera Education beyond national borders begins in 2009, from the never before seen production of Lupus in Fabula, thanks to funding from the European Commission. In these years we have joined the European network, enriching it with co-productions and filling Belgian, French, German and Austrian stages and theaters… In 2013, on the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Richard Wagner, Opera Domani - Flying Dutchman was produced in collaboration with the Magdeburg Theater and the Rouen Opera and supported by funding from the European Commission; the occasion of the World Expo in Milan in 2015 has instead allowed us to produce another never before seen opera on the theme of food, Milo & Maya. Around the world… And who knows what the future holds for us! A transferable concept that can be adapted to different countries with the most diverse solutions: we have studied a step by step program of customization aimed at intercultural dialogue and the best rendering of the planning know-how in relation to local peculiarities. To be preciously guarded, our idea of ??art is entrusted to space and time to promote a formative and artistic proposal valid from East to West, always alive thanks to the prerogative of the opera: it is a work of art in the round, truly accessible to everyone and never gets old!
